How do matches happen?
When two users show mutual interest, you experience a Gravity Pull. That unlocks your Cosmic Tea — a shared compatibility page showing your astrological score, planetary dynamics, and personalized advice from our AI.

Is StarMate free?
Yes. You can use the core features for free. StarMate Premium unlocks deeper chart analysis, extended filters, and unlimited communication.

What makes StarMate unique?
StarMate blends cosmic alignment with real-world data. We don’t just tell you who you’re compatible with — we help you understand why, based on your chart and the energy between you.

🪞 Managing My Profile

How do I edit my profile?
Go to Profile → Edit. You can update your photos, bio, and astrological details anytime.
For the most accurate results, make sure your birth date, time, and location are correct.

Can I update my zodiac information later?
Yes — but even a few minutes can shift your rising sign and compatibility results.

How can I verify my profile?
Tap Verify Me and follow the selfie flow. Verified users get a star badge and higher visibility.

How can I delete or pause my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Pause or Delete. Pausing hides your profile but keeps your data safe.

💫 Connecting With Matches

How do I start a conversation?
After you match, send a message or a Cosmic Icebreaker — a playful prompt inspired by your connection.

Why did my match disappear?
They might have paused or deleted their account, or unmatched. New alignments appear every day.

How can I improve my match rate?
Use real photos, complete your bio, and stay active. The algorithm and people reward authenticity.

What is “Cosmic Tea”?
It’s your shared compatibility report with energy dynamics and tips for building a lasting bond.

🚨 Reporting & Appeals

How do I report someone?
Open their profile → tap “⋯” → Report. Choose a reason: fake profile, harassment, scam, or inappropriate behavior.

What happens after I report someone?
Our moderation team reviews reports carefully. If there’s a safety risk, we may restrict or remove the profile and notify authorities if needed.

Can I appeal a ban or moderation decision?
Yes. Email support@starmateapp.com with subject Appeal Request. Include your registered email and a brief explanation.

What if I'm in immediate danger?
Contact local authorities right away. In the U.S., call 911. Elsewhere, use your country’s emergency number.

Does StarMate support all gender identities and orientations?
Absolutely. You can define yourself freely and choose who you want to connect with.

What if I don’t see my gender identity listed?
Choose Custom and enter what represents you best — we keep expanding the list.

How does astrology work for non-binary or trans users?
Astrology focuses on your chart, not gender. Compatibility reads are based on planetary relationships.

How does StarMate protect LGBTQ+ users?
Zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination. Violators are permanently banned.
